This Privacy Policy explains how Bors Roman, the provider of Sota Storage ("we", "us"), handles information in the Sota Storage iPhone app and on this website. Contact us at [email protected].
Information stored in the app
The current version stores your inventory on your device: box names and numbers, item lists, photographs, storage locations, addresses, notes, unit details, dates and reminder preferences. If you create a local profile, its name, nickname, email and a protected password representation are also stored on your device. A local profile is not a cloud account, and we do not receive your inventory or local sign-in details through the current app.
Photos, camera and notifications
Camera access is requested when you choose to take a photograph. The system photo picker lets you select photos to attach; the app uses the photos you select for your inventory. Notifications are optional and used for local payment reminders. You can change camera and notification permissions in iOS Settings. The app does not read your address book; any contact name you enter is stored as part of a location.
How information is used
On-device information is used to display, search and organize your inventory and schedule reminders you choose. The current implementation does not send your inventory to our servers, sell it, or use it for advertising. We have not implemented advertising, cross-app tracking or analytics collection in the current app. Your device backups may include app data according to your Apple settings; Apple handles those backups under its own policies.
Website and support
This website does not use advertising cookies, analytics scripts or a contact form. Our hosting and network providers, Hostinger and Cloudflare, may process technical request information, such as IP address, request time, requested page and browser information, to deliver and protect the website. If you email us, we receive your email address and the content and attachments you send. Please avoid sending passwords or a complete inventory when asking for help.
Sharing and service providers
We do not sell personal information. Website hosting, network and email providers may process information needed to deliver those services on our behalf. We may disclose information we actually hold when legally required, to respond to a valid legal request, or to protect rights and security. Providers may process information outside your country.
Retention and deletion
Inventory remains on the device until you delete it or remove the app. You can delete boxes and locations in the app; deleting a location also deletes its boxes. To remove all local app data, use Delete App in iOS Settings rather than Offload App. Separately manage any device backups in your Apple settings. Signing out does not delete local data. We cannot remotely retrieve or erase inventory stored only on your device. Support emails are kept as needed to resolve your request and meet applicable legal obligations; you can ask us to delete them.
Your choices and rights
You control the information you enter and the permissions you grant. Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict use of personal information we hold, object to processing, or complain to your local data protection authority. Send requests to [email protected]. We may need to verify your request. For inventory held only on your device, use the app and iOS controls described above.
Children
Sota Storage is a general-purpose organizing tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through support. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us so we can address it.
Security and changes
We use reasonable measures to protect information we handle, but no method of storage or transmission is completely secure. Keep your device and backups protected. We may update this policy when the app or our practices change. The date above identifies the current version; material changes will be communicated where required.
